Belvoir Blast

Belvoir BlastOpen to all, this sportive is for the lads as well as the lasses. There is a choice of 3 circular road routes (35,  60, and 100 miles).

As with all our events, the focus is on great rides, scrumptious cakes (for riders only please!) and an all round good day out. Check out our reviews on our Facebook page.


Blast 35 – 35 miles (approx.XXX ft climbing)

If you are not familiar with cycling in the Vale of Belvoir, and surrounding villages, then you are in for a treat. The country lanes are quiet and the villages and scenery are pretty and varied. This route will provide the challenge of a few of the local hills and will take you on some of the less well travelled roads in the Vale. Riders can enjoy the chance to refuel and recharge at our ‘Piece of Cake’ feed station enroute.

Note…just in case you were wondering,  this is a different route from our ‘Belles of Belvoir’ event held in June.

Blast 60 – 35 miles (approx. XXXft climbing)

 

2 quality village hall feed stations enroute – riders only please.

Blast 100 – 100 miles (approx. XXXft climbing)

This challenging 100 mile route takes you through the tranquil Vale of Belvoir and ) Whether this is your first century or are a regular 100 miler, this ride is sure to leave you with a smile on your face.

2 feed stations are provided for riders which will keep you refuelled and smiling.

What’s included?

Venue

The event venue is  at the Hose village Hall, which nestles at the bottom of the ridge in the Vale of Belvoir between Nottingham, Grantham and Melton Mowbray.

The venue is on the edge of a small village which is served by quiet country lanes.  There is plenty of space for free parking on the field and toilet  facilities are available.   Toilets will be available at all ‘Piece of Cake’ feed stations along the routes.

Start time:   Signing on from 7.30 a.m. 100 mile riders depart from 8.00 a.m. 60 mile riders depart from 9.00 a.m. 35  mile riders depart from 9.30 a.m.
