Britta set up 2 Wheels and a Piece of Cake in 2015 with Emma.  We met in the school playground and it was our love of riding our bikes that brought us together.  Creeping out of the house on early Sunday mornings, trying different routes, we pedalled and chatted, chatted and pedalled…  usually making sure we had time for tea and a piece of cake. Together we pushed each other on, taming local hills and trying different cafes.  Emma stepped down in 2018, and Gina came on board for a few years.

Charlotte (Lottie) takes over the helm of steering this wonderful ship in December for 2025. She has done a number of 2 wheels sportives and understands the brand and is seeking to maintain it’s friendly, inclusive feeling with great organisation and home made cakes to die for.  She has lots of new ideas and I wish her all the best.

We have really enjoyed organising small inclusive cycling events since 2015.  We are very grateful for all the fantastic support that we have received.  It has been great fun, and a real privilege to be a small part of so many people’s biking adventures.  We have met some fantastic people and made some firm friends!
